On Hurricane Haiyan/Typhoon Yolanda

Recently, my home country has been ravaged by the strongest typhoon to ever hit the Earth in history. The whole world has followed the disaster that is hurricane Haiyan or locally known (in the Philippines) as super typhoon Yolanda.

Still on books and Ondoy

i realized that i have had a lot of posts about my kindle.

it is still amazing to me how this little gadget has changed my life completely but not my reading habits.

i want to share my story on how i became an e-book convert. but first, let me give you a little background on my book affair.

Run For The Pasig River

So today I registered for the Run for the Pasig River event which is basically a fund-raising event for the rehabilitation of the Pasig River.

This will be my first year to join (although i was registered for the 2009 run, i wasnt able to make it that day).

i’m excited!! 😀

i registered for the 3K run with my friend Roxy at Mall of Asia. since i am still a student, i was able to get the student discount and paid only 150. Roxy, being the old dog that she is (lol) had to pay the full 300 pesos for the registration!

with the 150 (or 300 without the discount) you only get a race bib and a necklace. the singlet is sold separately. since this is a fund-raising activity, i gladly paid for my singlet. however, there are limited sizes stocked at the MoA booth so i had to order mine online (through abs-cbn’s multiply site.)

if you wanna join, registration is open until November 15, 2011 and you can get more information through their official website HERE.

see you guys there! 😄
